PACE; Professional Apprenticeship Camp Experience equipping young professionals to be successful and balanced in the Christian Camping industry

The purpose of the PACE program is to provide college graduates with a short-term, full-time, real camp, ministry experience. That is they will be equipped both personally and professionally in character based servant leadership. It is really two-fold. The first area is that the apprentice will grow in personal character, understanding of camp ministry, and skills specific to camp ministry. The second area is that the Grace will benefit with being able to further its mission and increase utilization. It is the hope that each apprentice would leave with a better understanding of who they are and be fully employable in camp ministry.

Assumptions:

1. The primary purpose of working is for professional development in Christian camping ministry.
2. The apprentice will continue to grow in their Christian walk, Christ-like character, and will have a teachable spirit.
3. The apprentice will live in the community of Grace Adventures and Oceana County by interacting with others at Grace and participating in community events such as a local church.
4. The apprentice will have a basic understanding of what a ministry lifestyle looks like and will continue the transition from living as a student to a professional.
