Who Can Attend The Winter Blast?
Winter Blast weekends are designed for church youth groups or school clubs with adult leaders. Our desire is to create an awesome winter environment for youth groups and leaders to connect, learn and grow together through themed activities, small group times, worship, teaching, and relevant workshops.
What Does The Registration Fee Include?
In short, everything! The registration fee is all-inclusive. All housing, meals, and activities are included. The only extra money you may need is for extra snacks and drinks at our Camp Store during the weekend.
Does Grace Need Individual Waiver Forms For All My Students?
No. When you contract with us, the contract covers your group for any liability. We do not collect personal information on your students.
Can I Send My Group To The Winter Blast Without A Leader?
No. Winter Blast weekends are designed for youth group and their leaders to connect and have fun together. Our hope is that students will grow and open up inside of their youth group and open their hearts to God.
Where Are We Housed During The Weekend?
Groups are assigned housing on the Grace Adventures campus. Grace Adventures staff will assign housing based on group size. Groups can request certain housing units if desired but there is no guarantee groups will be given their requested housing.
Some Of My Students Have Dietary Needs, Can Grace Accommodate Them?
Yes. Our trained Food Service staff is able to accommodate most dietary needs. If your group has some of those needs, those need to be expressed to Grace Adventures at least 1 week before the scheduled retreat date.
How Do I Reserve Spots For My Group?
Spots can be reserved by contacting our office at 231.873.3662 or by e-mailing Brian VanTimmeren, Marketing and Sales Manager, at . If known, please have your desired weekend choice and approximate number of spots needed for your group (including leaders). Once a contract is issued, a reservation is confirmed with a sending in a signed contract and deposit by the requested date on the contract.
What's the Guaranteed Minimum?
All contracts have a Reservation Number and a Guaranteed Minimum number. The Reservation Number is the number groups contract at, and is also their maximum number of spots number. The Guaranteed Minimum number is 90% of the Reservation Number and is meant as the "flex" number, should groups not hit their reservation number and so that Grace Adventures can adequately plan for the number of prespective people. By signing the Winter Blast contract, groups are obligated to meet their guaranteed minimum cost. For example, if a group reserves 20 total spots for a Winter Blast weekend, their minimum guaranteed number the group will bring/pay for is 18 total people.
What If I Need More Spots Than My Reservation Number?
Getting more spots is easy! Contact Brian VanTimmeren if your group needs more spots. If there is available space in your weekend, then we will be happy to increase your number of spots. If the weekend has filled up, any additional spots you need will go onto a Wait List. People on the Wait List will be moved into the weekend if spots open up closer to the time of the retreat.
