Dr. Lew Sterrett
From growing up on a farm in Pennsylvania and getting involved in 4-H at age 8, to attending Penn State University and majoring in the animal industry field, Dr. Lew Sterrett had many opportunities to learn from qualified trainers and educators. During his University years, he was confronted with his need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. After his graduation, he later went to earn his Master’s Degree in Divinity and his Doctorate in Leadership Training.
Throughout his lifetime Dr. Lew has been passionate about Biblical leadership development, especially when using horses as a ministry tool. He has served as a director of a major camp and conference center, a founder of a discipleship school, a former president of CHA (a horsemanship instructor safety certification program) and as a certified youth, marriage, and family counselor.
Chad currently serves as the Program Administrator at Grace Adventures. His 20+ years of professional horse experience includes horse training, mounted police, outfitting, Christian ranch camps, and treatment programs for delinquent youth. Chad is passionate about seeing people develop and grow to reach their full potential in which they were created to be.
Chad has served on the CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) board of directors as Vice President. He is also a certified wilderness guide and assistant trail clinic instructor. Other affiliations include membership with the Michigan Horse Council and as an AQHA Professional Horseman.
As founder of Cross Training Horsemanship, Chad travels teaching healthy relationship principles and character development to audiences while training horses. Chad has also published numerous articles, has conducted various clinics, and presents at multiple conferences, workshops, and trade shows.
